What sync actually means
Without sync, each device has its own copy of your data. Your habits on your phone are separate from your habits on your laptop. This is fine if you use one device.
With sync enabled, changes propagate across all your devices in real time. Add a habit on your phone, see it on your laptop. Complete a task on your tablet, it updates everywhere.
Sync copies changes, including deletions, to every device. It is not a backup: it keeps no history, so something deleted on one device is deleted everywhere.
Sync data is encrypted in transit and stored by our sync provider, Dexie Cloud. It is not end-to-end encrypted. We do not read, sell or analyse it — the privacy policy has the detail, and the terms cover the subscription.
Questions
Can I use the tools without paying?
Yes. Every tool is fully functional for free. Sync is the only paid feature.
What happens if I cancel sync?
Your data stays on each device where it already exists. It just stops syncing between them.
Is there a free trial for sync?
Yes. When you first turn on sync you get 30 days of use free, counted on days you actually use it. You need no card, and sync simply stops at the end if you do not subscribe. Your data stays on your devices.
Does one subscription cover all tools?
Yes. Your subscription covers all four tools. Sign in with the same email in each one.
