What sync actually means

Without sync, each device has its own copy of your data. Your habits on your phone are separate from your habits on your laptop. This is fine if you use one device.

With sync enabled, changes propagate across all your devices in real time. Add a habit on your phone, see it on your laptop. Complete a task on your tablet, it updates everywhere.

Sync uses end-to-end encryption. We store the encrypted data to make syncing work, but we cannot read it.
